The critically acclaimed sci-fi indie flick SLEEP DEALER comes to DVD Tuesday, Sleep Dealer New on DVD, Blu-RaySeptember 8.  

SLEEP DEALER is a rare science fiction movie that combines futuristic elements of technology with issues of immigration.  CineMovie talks to the SLEEP DEALER director and writer Alex Rivera who started his journey twelve years ago and the film's leading lady, Leonor Varela (Blade II) who describes her experience on the independent sci-fi flick as "tough." 

 

Synopsis:

The near future. Like tomorrow.  The world is divided by closed borders, but connected by a digital network that ties together people around the world.  Memo Cruz lives in the small, dusty Mexican village of Santa Ana del Rio. 
Memo leaves his small pueblo and finds work in the high tech factories in the big cities in the north but connecting to cyberspace has it’s consequences.
