ANT-MAN AND THE WASP: QUANTUMANIA is the busiest movie of this Marvel trilogy with tons of distracting CGI environments. The sequel is one part STAR WARS and the other part GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY due to the heavy CGI work. Thankfully Paul Rudd carries the movie as the heart of the story but Michelle Pfeiffer and Jonathan Majors steal the show.

Michael B. Jordan’s directorial debut in CREED III is a solid premiere for the actor-turned-filmmaker. The beats are on point and the ROCKY spin-off is structurally a tight movie.

Channing Tatum's sexy dance skills are the main attraction in Steven Soderbergh’s MAGIC MIKE movies, and MAGIC MIKE’S LAST DANCE is no exception. While the storyline teases a big finale, the climax just never came. However, his on-screen chemistry with Salma Hayek is off the charts.

It’s no surprise James Cameron delivers a visually stunning film in AVATAR: THE WAY OF WATER. As indicated in the title, most of the action takes place in Pandora’s oceans with Jake and Neytiri’s offspring taking center stage in the second outing.

VIOLENT NIGHT is a bloody good time enjoyed most in a collective space. David Harbour is a killing machine as the very endearing and not-so-jolly Kris Kringle. It’s a must-watch for a silly and gory escape.

The hokey trailer for THE GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY HOLIDAY SPECIAL left much to be desired but luckily the Disney+ Marvel special is surprisingly fun although James Gunn takes some swipes at the Christmas tradition. Pom Klementieff’s Mantis is the breakout star here.

Chadwick Boseman is smiling down at Ryan Coogler and his cast mates for delivering a heartfelt and action-packed follow-up in BLACK PANTHER: WAKANDA FOREVER. The sequel honors Chadwick Boseman and respectfully hands down the baton to the next in line. It’s a thoughtful script, and like the first movie, Coogler interweaves superheroism with social commentary.

Don’t let the PG-13 rating fool you, PREY FOR THE DEVIL is one freaky good time that will have you holding on to your theater partner. With no shortage of exorcism movies, director Daniel Stamm brings a fresh take on exorcism movies for the first two-thirds of the movie until the final sequence treads familiar territory.
