THE HUNGER GAMES is Lenny Kravitz's fourth acting gig after appearing in Precious in which he received a 2010 NAACP Image Awards nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Motion Picture.  After Gary Ross saw him in Precious, he told CineMovie recently that he knew Lenny would be perfect for the role and called him while he was on tour to recruit him.  Although he wasn't familiar with the Suzanne Collins novels, he researched the books and immediately said yes to the project. Kravitz has also appeared in such films as The Diving Bell and the Butterfly and Zoolander. 

The four-time Grammy® Award winner proved to be the life of the party as expected from a rock star like Lenny.  After production wrapped every day, he would host parties in his hotel room with the cast and crew.  Lenny mentioned in a recent interview that Woody Harrelson loved to try on his outfits from his upcoming concert tour which he was practicing for while in production for HUNGER GAMES.  Kravitz said pulling double duty as actor and rock star exhausted him and he will never attempt multiple jobs again.

THE HUNGER GAMES is in movie theatres March 23, 2012.
