This week's topics:

Jupiter's Legacy (Netflix)

Based on the Image comic book series Jupiter's Legacy by Mark Millar and Frank Quitely, Steven S. DeKnight adapted it as a Netflix series with Josh Duhamel, Ben Daniel and Leslie Bibb. The older generation of superheroes must pass on the legacy to their children.

The Sons of Sam: Descent into Darkness (Netflix)

David Berkowitz, the Son of Sam serial killer, did not act alone, according to a new Netflix docuseries, The Sons of Sam: Descent into Darkness. The 4-part series revisits the evidence against the NYC serial killer who shot and killed eight people and injured half a dozen over a year from 1976 to 1977.  Investigative journalist Maury Terry obsessed over the case of the killer who used a .44 calibur gun, and discovered his link to a satanic cult and his link to two others who matched the description of the witnesses who survived the attempted murders.

The Marksman (PVOD, Blu-ray, DVD)

Liam Neeson isn't tracking down bad guys this time around. Instead he plays an Arizona border town rancher on the run this time from the Mexican cartel as he relunctantly helps a Mexican boy escape a ruthless cartel soldier.

From Cradle to Stage (Paramount+)

Dave Grohl directs this docuseries which takes him on the road with his mother to sit down with famous musicians and their family.  The series is inspired by the book of the same name written by mom and author Virginia Grohl.

Selena Movie (Netflix)

Jana's pick this week is the 1997 film starring Jennifer Lopez as the slain Mexican regional singer Selena Quintanilla. The movie launched Lopez career, and brought the Tejana singer to the mainstream masses.

500 Days of Summer (Hulu)

My pick for classic films hitting Hulu this month is Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Zooey Deschanel's rom com 500 DAYS OF SUMMER. It's a unique love story that features Los Angeles as a character.
