Joseph Gordon-Levitt stars in the hijacking thriller, 7500 by first time feature film director Patrick Vollrath. Shot entirely on a decommissioned Airbus A320, the Oscar nominated director took an experimental approach to the thriller with improvised camera movements and dialogue in 20 to 30 minute takes.

Voter suppression is a hot button issue right now, and Oscar-nominated and Emmy-winning filmmaker Liz Garbus and Oscar-nominated filmmaker Lisa Cortés tackle the subject in an Untitled Voting Rights documentary featuring former Alabama gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams which Amazon Studios has acquired. Since Comic Con in San Diego is no longer happening in person but online in light of the pandemic, DC is bringing their own virtual fan experience for free on Saturday, August 22 for a 24-hour event showcasing their DC universe of upcoming feature films, comics, WB games and tv and streaming shows. That includes exclusive footage reveal for THE SUICIDE SQUAD, WONDER WOMAN 1984 and Zack Snyder's cut of JUSTICE LEAGUE. The best part is that it's open to all for free.

Warner Bros.' other high-profile movie TENET, directed by Christopher Nolan, was pushed back two weeks to July 31st. BILL & TED FACE THE MUSIC, on the other hand, moved up their release two weeks to August 14, the date left open by the WONDER WOMAN sequel change. The half-hour special he titled "8:46" in reference to how long a knee was to his neck, is streaming for free on Netflix's YouTube channel, the comedian tackles the protest, CNN's Don Lemon, a black conseravatives' view of Floyd's culpability (she will remain unnamed) and give historical context of racial injustice. While there are some funny gags, Chapelle uses the time to rant about the events of the last two weeks.

Warner Bros. announced Monday their movie JUST MERCY will be available on all platforms for the month of June as part of the discussion around systemic racism and the black lives matter movement. The movie starring Michael B. Jordan, Jamie Foxx and Brie Larson is based on the true story of a wrongly accused black man on death row who was later acquitted thanks to activist lawyer Bryan Stevenson. JUST MERCY is a compelling film that should anger everyone over the social inustice the judicial system enacts on black men too often.
