Mary Poppins Returns Emily Blunt

MARY POPPINS RETURNS star Emily Blunt and director Rob Marshall took to the D23 Expo stage in Anaheim to talk about the Disney film for the first time. Blunt describes her character as more "acerbic" and closer to the book version of Mary Poppins. She recognizes she can never outdo or compete with Julie Andrews portrayal so she wants to make it her own.  Disney also presented exclusive footage from the sequel accompanied by a live orchestra. The studio also released a motion poster. See it belwo.

At the D23 Expo Friday, Disney reunited actress' who have voiced Disney princesss throughout the years.  Jodie Benson (Ariel in “The Little Mermaid”), Auli‘i Cravalho (“Moana”), Kristen Bell (Anna in “Frozen”), Kelly MacDonald (Merida in “Brave”), Mandy Moore (Rapunzel in “Tangled”), Anika Noni Rose (Tiana in “The Princess and the Frog”), Irene Bedard (“Pocahontas”), Linda Larkin (Jasmine in “Aladdin”) and Paige O’Hara (Belle in “Beauty and the Beast”).  The actresses graced the stage together for a first look at "Ralph Breaks the Internet: Wreck-It Ralph 2" where the Disney princesses make a cameo.

King plays a teenage girl hoping for a better life for her and her father, and improving her situation in high school. However, there’s a deadly price for her wishes.

Joey King tells CineMovie the film not only entertains with tales of horror, but there’s a moral story behind it. King plays Clare Shannon, a high school teen who reels from losing her mother at a young age and struggles with her home life with a father (Ryan Phillipe) who rummages through the trash for a living. In school, she crushes on the popular high school boy but his girlfriend and her crew constantly target Clare and her friends with insults.

Ed Helms, Jake Johnson, Hannibal Buress, Jon Hamm and Jeremy Renner began production on the film, TAG, as friends pursuing a lifelong game of tag.
 
Production is currently shooting in Atlanta for the new comedy TAG, directed by Jeff Tomsic (Comedy Central’s “Broad City”) for New Line Cinema. 

The film’s starring ensemble cast is led by Ed Helms (The “Hangover” movies, “We’re the Millers”), Jake Johnson (TV’s “New Girl”), and Hannibal Buress (“Neighbors”), with Jon Hamm (“Baby Driver,” TV’s “Mad Men”) and Oscar nominee Jeremy Renner (“The Hurt Locker, “The Town”).

The SPIDER-MAN: HOMECOMING might look a lot different if it weren’t for Marvel putting its footprints all over the sixth film in the Spider-Man universe.  The Marvel intervention may have never happened had it not been revealed through the 2014 cyber attack by the North Koreans that Sony and Marvel were in discussion on teaming up on the next Spider-Man movie and bringing it into the MCU, but nobody had pulled the trigger. The public pressure after hearing of the leaked emails between the two studios probably convinced Sony to bring Marvel into the fold.
