The final chapter of the Lambert family nightmare with The Further is a satisfying ending to the horror franchise, although the new revelations in the sequel don't quite add up.

The actor's range has no limits from playing a goofball in the ANT-MAN movies to serious roles such as his latest film, A MILLION MILES AWAY. Based on the true story of Mexican-American astronaut José Hernández, the former child migrant farm worker was rejected by NASA 11 times. The Prime Video movie is a feel-good and inspirational story.

Kenneth Branagh rounds out his Hercule Poirot trilogy with A HAUNTING IN VENICE, the best of the three. The film is aesthetically pleasing and combines a murder mystery with supernatural elements. However, like the previous two, the story is a bit convoluted, and the finale is rushed.

Alain Moussi’s fighting prowess is on display in KING OF KILLERS, but what the former stuntman and martial arts-trained actor has to kick up a notch are his acting skills. Frank Grillo is the main attraction in KING OF KILLERS, and the actor shows up his fellow costars in this solid action movie but the film suffers from some corny and on-the-nose dialogue.

VACATION FRIENDS wasn’t the greatest movie but the odd pairing of John Cena and Lil Rel Howery and the ridiculous shenanigans made it a fun watch from the comfort of your home. The sequel, unfortunately, doesn’t live up to the hijinks of the original even with the addition of Steve Buscemi.

For someone not well-versed in Dave Filoni's Rebels and The Clone Wars story and characters, the Ahsoka characters will feel a bit foreign in their relationship to each other but casual Star Wars fans will be steeped in a familiar world of Jedis and cool lightsaber duels. However, don't fret! There's plenty of exposition setting up the characters and their past history so viewers are in the loop. The first two episodes are action-filled with no downtime.

To be honest, the BLUE BEETLE trailers didn’t completely sell the DC comic book adaptation although I was excited to see the first DC Latino superhero on the big screen. Thankfully, BLUE BEETLE is a huge surprise with an emotional core that drives the action rather than the other way around. While you can’t avoid your standard genre clichés, it does break them such as having the family members as sidekicks rather than merely emotional props.

Hate sells, and YouTube's algorithms amplify that message but the video platform didn't set out to do that. Director Alex Winter, best known for BILL & TED’S EXCELLENT ADVENTURE, directs the feature documentary, THE YOUTUBE EFFECT. Now available on streaming, the documentary digs into the birth of the video-sharing platform and its evolution into a divisive and radical influence.

The Australian import, TALK TO ME, avoids horror cliches and tropes with a unique premise and beats which makes it one of the best horror flicks in a while. Do yourself a favor and get out to movie theaters to see TALK TO ME.

Pixar elevated the animation industry with CGI which delivered polished and clean imagery, but films like Academy Award-winning film SPIDER-MAN: INTO THE SPIDER-VERSE, its sequel ACROSS THE SPIDER-VERSE, and now TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES: MUTANT MAYHEM return to basics with raw and hand drawn-looking artwork. The style is fitting for the cinematic adaptation of these comic book heroes who are endearing and hilarious.

Those fools from the hood are back in season 2 of the extremely funny Hulu series, This Fool. The irreverent comedy starring Chris Estrada, Frankie Quinones, and Michael Imperioli, perfectly captures life in South Central. The quirky characters decide to open up a new coffee shop, "Mugs Not Thugs" and of course, there are shenanigans that will have you rolling on the floor although the laughs are not as consistent as last season.

Take two. Disney’s second attempt at adapting the theme park attraction into a movie arrives in theaters, and while HAUNTED MANSION is jam-packed with Easter Eggs Disneyland fans will enjoy, the plot is a little lackluster.

As expected, Greta Gerwig’s (LADYBIRD) live-action BARBIE movie is filled with subversive feminist messaging but Gerwig balances the truth bombs with comedy. Margot Robbie is a perfect Barbie and Ryan Gosling steals the show with his himbo Ken-energy. Gerwig also manages to honor the Mattel icon without belittling the brand and empowers little girls to want more than just tea parties.

MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE fans will get their money’s worth in the seventh outing of Ethan Hunt’s (Tom Cruise) spy adventure in DEAD RECKONING PART ONE, even with a familiar story that hits the same beats from one movie to the next, and a questionable villain. However, this is possibly the funniest installment of the franchise.

Secret Invasion closely resembles Star Wars: Andor series. Both Disney+ series are slow-burn spy thrillers with character-driven plots, and devoid of Jedis and Avengers to save the day. Marvel’s latest entry, however, is not as sleek looking like Andor, and the pacing is far more tedious. Two episodes in, it’s not clear yet if the Marvel series is worthy of a binge.

Cannes critics lambasted INDIANA JONES AND THE DIAL OF DESTINY as too nostalgic in early reviews. Isn’t nostalgia one of the reasons we return to movie theaters to watch fan favorites like Harrison Ford as Indiana Jones? INDIANA JONES AND THE DIAL OF DESTINY is exactly what you expect from the fedora-wearing treasure hunter, but more emotional.

Kevin Harrison Jr. is one of the most underrated actors of this generation, and his starring turn in the untold story of the first Black composer in CHEVALIER proves his worth. The film is filled with tension, drama, and music with great performances in addition to Harrison, from Lucy Boynton, Samara Weaving and Minnie Driver. The must-see movie is now available on Digital.
