Marvel and Disney's next high-profile film kicks off August with GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY, followed by the return of the TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES and THE EXPENDABLES for a third outing along with a new motley of crew (Mel Gibson, Wesley Snipes, Antonio Banderas), but the action flick we're looking for to is Scarlet Johansson in a Luc Besson film, LUCY.
August also has two Latino bio pics with Cantinflas, the iconic Mexican comedian, getting a big screen treatment and Edgar Ramirez is portraying South America hero Simon Bolivar in THE LIBERATOR
GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY - August 1, 2014

GET ON UP hits theaters August 1, 2014
In his follow-up to the four-time Academy Award®-nominated blockbuster The Help, Tate Taylor directs 42’s Chadwick Boseman as James Brown in Get on Up. Based on the incredible life story of the Godfather of Soul, the film will give a fearless look inside the music, moves and moods of Brown, taking audiences on the journey from his impoverished childhood to his evolution into one of the most influential figures of the 20th century. From La Femme Nikita and The Professional to The Fifth Element, writer/director Luc Besson has created some of the toughest, most memorable female action heroes in cinematic history. Now, Besson directs Scarlett Johansson in Lucy, an action-thriller that tracks a woman accidentally caught in a dark deal who turns the tables on her captors and transforms into a merciless warrior evolved beyond human logic.
Lucy also stars Academy Award® winner Morgan Freeman and is produced by Virginie Besson-Silla for EuropaCorp. Universal Pictures will distribute the movie worldwide, except for France, Benelux and China.

In THE EXPENDABLES 3, Barney (Stallone), Christmas (Statham) and the rest of the team come face-to-face with Conrad Stonebanks (Gibson), who years ago co-founded The Expendables with Barney. Stonebanks subsequently became a ruthless arms trader and someone who Barney was forced to kill… or so he thought. Stonebanks, who eluded death once before, now is making it his mission to end The Expendables -- but Barney has other plans. Barney decides that he has to fight old blood with new blood, and brings in a new era of Expendables team members, recruiting individuals who are younger, faster and more tech-savvy. The latest mission becomes a clash of classic old-school style versus high-tech expertise in the Expendables’ most personal battle yet.
