Cinematographer Rodrigo Prieto talks to CineMovie about working with Martin Scorsese and Leonardo DiCaprio on THE WOLF OF WALL STREET.  The Mexican-born filmmaker gives us insight into how Martin Scorsese works behind the camera and how the black comedy almost received a NC-17.

The Oscar nominee (Brokeback Mountain, 2006) has photographed films for many A-list directors such as Ang Lee (Brokeback Mountain, Lust, Caution), Oliver Stone (Alexander, Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps), Spike Lee, Cameron Crowe (We Bought A Zoo), Pedro Almodovar (Broken Embraces) and often collaborates with fellow countryman Alejandro Gonzales Iñarritu on all his films (Babel, 21 Grams, Biutiful, Amores Perros).

As the director of photography for THE WOLF OF WALL STREET, Rodrigo Prieto takes CineMovie behind the scenes in the making of the Martin Scorsese and Leonardo DiCaprio collaboration and tells us his secret to shooting nude scenes and large crowd setups.

The long-time cinematographer recently was approached about directing a digital short film starring Elle Fanning. “Likeness” was inspired by his daughter’s battle with bulimia which can be viewed below.

THE WOLF OF WALL STREET is currently playing in movie theaters.
