Fast & Furious- Supercharged Worth the Ride?

fast furious supercharged theme park ride

The much anticipated new attraction at Universal Studios Hollywood based on the Fast and Furious franchise is open for business, and the ride leaves you feeling the need for more speed.

Fast & Furious- Supercharged is part of the theme park’s signature behind-the-scenes Studio Tour as the grande finale. The ride features original cast members, Vin Diesel (Dominic “Dom” Toretto), Dwayne Johnson (Hobbs), Michelle Rodriguez (Letty Ortiz), Tyrese Gibson (Roman Pearce) and Luke Evans (Owen Shaw), and is designed to catapult guests into the high-stakes underground world of fast cars in a harrowing escapade – at perceived speeds in excess of 120 miles per hour – to save one of their own from an international crime cartel.

Adding to the King Kong 3D attraction, Fast & Furious- Supercharged offers another thrilling 3D motion-based experience.  Spanning nearly 400 feet in length to encircle Studio Tour guests within a newly constructed 65,000-square-foot structure on the legendary backlot, the sprawling custom-built screen employs 34, 4K projectors and a hi-tech projection configuration system designed to envelop guests in unprecedented realism.

The imagery including the actors are very realistic with their use of hyper-realistic special effects with a state-of-the-art 3D audio system and 3D-HD imagery projected onto the world’s longest and most expansive 360-degree screen. The guests are enveloped between the action on both sides of the tram with wind blowing in your hair while water and heat from the explosions are felt on your face.

One time on the tram is not enough, so you’ll be left feeling like a second ride in order to take in all the action happening on the each side of the attraction.
