![Star Trek Into Darknes Spock Clip]()
Don't blink you might miss it. JJ Abrams appeared on the Conan O'Brien's show Thursday night and teased a clip from the sequel to Star Trek. The catch - it's only three frames of a burning Spock.
JJ Abrams is notorious for keeping his fans in the dark, but he lifted the secrecy around the film by presenting a very, very, very short peek on Conan this week. Currently in post production, Star Trek Into Darkness doesn't open until May 17, 2013 starring
Chris Pine, Karl Urban, Zachary Pinto, Zoe Saldana, and
John Cho but the anticipation is defeaning. JJ Abrams appeared on Conan to promote his television series Revolution, but he also teased Trekkies all over the universe with a reveal of the new movie. The reason behind the three frames peak can be blamed on Paramount Pictures, according to Abrams, who said the studio was "unhappy" about showing anything from the movie. We're willing to bet that's not true. In the quick preview, Abrams explains that Spock is in a volcano for a reason he won't reveal "in a funny suit."
After the funny bit, Conan joked "people are going to freeze-frame this on the computer." And Cinemovie was one of those people just to get a screen shot.
Did you freeze frame the quick clip? What are your Trekkie senses picking up from the preview?
