THOR: THE DARK WORLD Special Screening for Local Students

Local college students from the MAES organization in Long Beach were awarded a special screening of THOR: THE DARK WORLD. The Latino organization supports those striving to pursue a career science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM).  A member talks about the organization and how MAES helped her.

As the foremost non-profit Latino organization, MAES encourages higher education in Science, Math and Engineering fields. How does this organization tie in with MAES? Natalie Portman's character in THOR: THE DARK WORLD plays a scientist and she uncovers the scientific events that will might bring destruction to Earth.  MAES member Lorena Arce, a Civil Engineer for Hilti (a company that specializes in technology for the construction industry), talked to CineMovie about the organization and how females are growing in the field.
