Produced by Diego Luna and Gael Garcia Bernal's production company Canana Films, CESAR CHAVEZ chronicles the birth of a modern American movement when Cesar Chavez started a movement to secure a living wage for farm workers. Chavez embraced non-violence means to to bring social justice to farm workers. He inspired millions of Americans including non-farm workers to stand up and fight for the dignity of people.
America Ferrera plays his wife while Rosario Dawson takes on the role of Chavez's movement partner Dolores Huerta.
