DEAD MAN DOWN New Movie Poster and Trailer

The original director and star behind the Swedish break out hit The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo reunite for their first American collaboration in DEAD MAND DOWN alongside Colin Farrell, Terrence Howard, and Dominic Cooper.

Noomi Rapace joins her Girl with the Dragon Tattoo director Niels Arden Oplev for his first American theatrical debut in an action-packed thriller, DEAD MAN DOWN. The Swedish-born Rapace has already conquered Hollywood with two high-profiled films last year (Prometheus, Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows) while the Danish director is only just now coming to Hollywood after his acclaimed trilogy in 2009 made waves in Hollywood and led to an English adaptation by David Fincher and starring Skyfall's Daniel Craig.

In DEAD MAN DOWN, Noomi Rapace's character is drawn to Colin Farrell after she sees him kill a man. She's looking for revenge against Terrence Howard for leaving her scarred for life.  They are drawn to one another by their mutual desire for revenge.

Oplev certainly applies his style from The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo trilogy to the American production with low-key lighting and use of sepia tones, giving it a dark tone to the action thriller opening March 8, 2013.
