Disney has officially announced the 2026 Disney Legends Award honorees, who will be celebrated during D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event in Anaheim this August. The Disney Legends Award is the company’s highest honor, recognizing individuals who have made a significant impact on Disney’s legacy through storytelling, entertainment, music, animation, theme parks, and leadership.
The 2026 Disney Legends Award nominees include an impressive group of actors, musicians, producers, animators, and executives who helped shape Disney entertainment across film, television, music, parks, and sports.

The Disney Legends Award ceremony will take place on August 16, 2026, at the Honda Center in Anaheim and will be hosted by Ryan Seacrest. The ceremony will also stream on Disney+, allowing fans around the world to watch the celebration.
The Disney Legends Awards program began in 1987 and honors the artists, storytellers, and leaders whose work has helped define Disney across generations. With the addition of the 2026 class, more than 300 individuals will have received Disney’s highest honor.
