To celebrate the upcoming Netflix release of Guillermo del Toro’s Frankenstein (premiering November 7), Hollywood was electrified on Halloween night with a dazzling cinematic spectacle.
The celebration began as the Capitol Records building transformed into Frankenstein’s battery through breathtaking projection mapping, sparking a simulated electrical storm that lit up the skies over Los Angeles. The drone-powered “storm” swept across Hollywood’s most famous landmarks — from the Roosevelt Hotel to the Hollywood Forever Cemetery — before culminating at the TCL Chinese Theatre during a sold-out IMAX screening event.
Director Guillermo del Toro and producer Jason Reitman joined fans for a lively Q&A session, where the audience—many dressed as del Toro’s beloved cinematic creatures—embraced the night’s theme to “be monsters together.”
