UPDATE: Because of the massacre in the Colorado movie theatre, the studio moved the gangster flick to 2013 in order to reshoot scenes in which gangsters open fire in a theatre. The film was slated to open September 7th of this year, but is now scheduled for January 2013.

Set in Los Angeles 1949, ruthless, Brooklyn-born mob king Mickey Cohen (Sean Penn) runs the show in this town, reaping the ill-gotten gains from the drugs, the guns, the prostitutes and--if he has his way--every wire bet placed west of Chicago.
