The game is no longer confined to the jungle! Dwayne Johnson, Kevin Hart, Jack Black (A Minecraft Movie), and Karen Gillan (Guardians of the Galaxy) reunite for one final adventure in Jumanji: Open World, arriving exclusively in theaters on Christmas Day, December 25, 2026.

The new trailer teases a wild twist on the franchise's familiar formula. After surviving the dangerous jungles of Jumanji in previous adventures, our heroes face their biggest challenge yet when the game escapes its console and unleashes chaos into the real world. The premise follows a growing Hollywood franchise trend of flipping the script by bringing fantastical threats into the characters' everyday world rather than sending them into unfamiliar territory. Like Tron: Ares, which brings digital creations into the real world, and the Jurassic World franchise, which unleashes dinosaurs beyond their island habitats, Jumanji: Open World takes the action outside its traditional setting.

Director Jake Kasdan returns to helm the final installment of the action-adventure trilogy, which also brings back Alex Wolff, Morgan Turner, Ser'Darius Blain, Madison Iseman, Nick Jonas, and Danny DeVito.

Written by Kasdan, Jeff Pinkner, and Scott Rosenberg, and based on Chris Van Allsburg's beloved book, Jumanji: Open World promises another round of action, comedy, and mayhem as the franchise wraps up its latest trilogy.
