New Trailer: Clint Eastwood in TROUBLE WITH THE CURVE

For the first time since 1993's In The Line of Fire, Clint Eastwood stars in a film without having directed it. TROUBLE WITH THE CURVE, directed by Eastwood's longtime producing partner Robert Lorenz, stars Eastwood as an aging baseball scout with Amy Adams as his daughter and Justin Timberlake as her love interest. The Academy Award® winner may not be directing, but he is listed as one of the TROUBLE WITH THE CURVE producers of the September 21st film release. In the trailer for the sports drama, Eastwood once again plays an aging curmudgeon with a chip on his shoulder and in failing health. As one of the best baseball scouts, Gus' (Eastwood) eye sight begins to go, but retirement is not an option even as the baseball owners clamor to bench him for good. His estranged daughter, Mickey (Adams), a lawyer, comes to his rescue much to Gus' chagrin. Against her better judgment, and over Gus’s objections, Mickey joins him on his latest scouting trip to North Carolina, jeopardizing her own career to save his. Forced to spend time together for the first time in years, each makes new discoveries—revealing long-held truths about their past and present that could change their future.   

TROUBLE WITH THE CURVE also stars John Goodman, Robert Patrick, Matthew Lillard, and Eastwood's son Scott Eastwood.
