Tom Cruise takes on the role of a lifetime as a rock idol in the 80's rock scene. sporting various costumes worthy of a rock n' roll star like a bandana with long hair, a fur vest, leather pants and a bare chest a la Iggy Pop, or maybe a little Axl Rose combined with Brett Michaels. Who are we kidding! The 80's glam rock stars all looked alike in that decade.
It's a star-studded trailer featuring Alec Baldwin in a shaggy wig, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Julianne Hough, Mary J. Blige, Paul Giamatti, Malin Akerman, Bryan Cranston, and Russell Brand looking right at home. Constantine Maroulis, one of the stars of the Broadway show and former "American Idol" contest, takes on the role of an record executive. In ROCK OF AGES, Drew (Diego Boneta) and Sherrie (Julianne Hough) come to Hollywood with big dreams but they meet and fall in love. Their romance will be put on the line as their careers take them into the fast lane.
