Zero Dark Thirty Teaser Trailer Tracks Bin Laden

If you ever wanted to know what went on behind the scenes of the 10 year journey to capture the most wanted man in America -- unofficially of course -- director-producer Kathryn Bigelow takes us behind the top secret mission in ZERO DARK THIRTY.  While the new teaser trailer doesn't show much, the film has us intrigued already.

As a follow up to her Oscar winning film The Hurt Locker, Bigelow reteams with her Hurt Locker writer-producer partner Mark Boal to tell the story of the elite team of intelligence and military operatives who devoted themselves to finding and eliminating Osama bin Laden.  The film chronicles the worldwide manhunt of the al-Qaeda leader, and his death at the hands of the Navy SEAL Team 6 in 2011.  

Jessica Chastain, Chris Pratt, Joel Edgerton, Mark Strong (The Green Lantern, Kick-Ass), Kyle Chandler ("Friday Night Lights," Super 8) and Edgar Ramirez are few of the actors in the cast.

Opening December 19, Zero Dark Thirty is the first project of two surrounding the military operation of the killing of bin Laden to make it to the big screen first.  Given the event occurred only over a year ago, the film had a quick turnaround.
