Facing El Chapo / La Captura is now streaming on Netflix starring Alfonso Herrera (Ozark, The Exorcist series).

Based on true events, Facing El Chapo (La Captura) follows two Mexican Federal Police officers assigned to highway patrol in Sinaloa: Arturo Carmona (Herrera) and his veteran partner, Héctor Rosales (Noé Hernández). During a routine traffic stop, the officers unknowingly intercept Joaquín “El Chapo” Guzmán (Héctor Kotsifakis) and his lieutenant as they flee a massive military operation to recapture the cartel leader.

Suddenly responsible for holding one of the world’s most wanted criminals in custody, the officers face attempted bribery, threats and the very real possibility that cartel forces could be coming for them. The film shifts the focus away from El Chapo and onto the two relatively unknown policemen whose actions played a crucial role in his final capture.
