Actors Luna Lauren Velez, Rob Yang, Julia Mayorga interview

Actors Luna Lauren Velez, Rob Yang and Julia Mayorga star in Prime Video's American Rust: Broken Justice season 2, and they explain why this series is breaking ground in representing faces rarely seen in stories from America's Rust Belt.

American Rust: Broken Justice also stars Jeff Daniels and Maura Tierney.  Season one and season two are now streaming on Prime Video.

SYNOPSIS

Based on Philipp Meyer’s critically acclaimed novel of the same name, the first season of American Rust premiered on Showtime with a lukewarm reaction. Daniels explains the first season was slow in action for the sake of introducing the numerous characters. However, he says the new season is faster-paced.

In season 2, the setting continues to be the fictional town of Buell, Pennsylvania but Del (Daniels) has returned to the Pittsburg police department to expose the Brotherhood, a group of crooked cops. Del and Tierney's Grace continue a long-distance relationship. We chat about their character's mindset under these new circumstances. Season Two picks up with a string of seemingly unrelated murders, hinting at a much larger conspiracy that threatens everyone in this small, tight-knit town
