Universal Studios kicked off opening of Halloween Horror Nights in Los Angeles with a red carpet affair, the Eyegore Awards.  Guillermo Del Toro was honored with an award for his work in horror, while Chad Michael Murray (House of Wax, The Haunting in Georgia), Mexican actress/comedian Angelica Vale, and Grimm's Silas Weir Mitchell were given goblin statues for their recent roles in the genre.

Other guests included Alice Cooper, Kate del Castillo, Diego Boneta (Rock of Ages), Bitsie Tulloch (NBC's "Grimm"), Adelaide Clemens (Silent Hill: Revelation 3D), Katie Featherston (Paranormal film series), and Wilmer Valderrama.

On the red carpet, CineMovie's Ashley Michelle caught up with some familiar faces of horror movies and horror movie fans like NBA player Trey Thompkins of the LA Clippers and Olympic Gold Medalist Swimmer Conor Dwyer.  It being Halloween, we asked the guests what they were afraid of as a child and what monster would they become if given the choice.

Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios continues through October 31st.
