Those cuddly little minions from Universal Pictures’ DESPICABLE ME 2 have been spotted around the skies of American cities flying around as a blimp. CineMovie gets to ride one of the DespicaBlimps for a personal tour of the skies of Long Beach, CA.
Mr. Judd explains the blimp is like a boat and the same mechanic of buoyancy applies to a blimp, hence the name airship. If turned upside down, the design resembles a submarine, according to Allan Judd. The takeoff and landing of these airships resembles how boats would be handled with men tugging and tying up the helium filled balloon.
Sue Evelyn and our camera man Isaac Mitchell count the DespicaBlimp experience as one the best moments in their lives.
For more fun with the minions, DESPICABLE ME 2 is now playing in movie theaters.
