Jodie Foster directs Julia Roberts, George Clooney and Jack O’Connell in MONEY MONSTER, a high strikes thriller shot in multiple locations in real-time. CineMovie sat down with Foster and O’Connell (Skins, Unbroken) to talk about the challenges in making the film and working with Clooney, and his dancing skills.
In MONEY MONSTER, George Clooney plays financial TV host Lee Gates who is taken hostage during his show by Kyle (O’Connell), a blue-collar worker who lost his investment and he is looking for payback from the man who recommended the failed stocks. Julia Roberts is the producer in the television booth holding things together while broadcasting the standoff to millions.
MONEY MONSTER opens May 13.
