Man of Steel New Movie Trailer - Rate It

Finally we get a glimpse of Michael Shannon as General Zod, and perhaps his space ship? From the preview, we can gather that General Zod arrives to earth in a cool ride - perhaps looking for Superman or just your average villain looking to conquer a planet?  

The first full trailer to the Superman reboot reveals a first look at the other characters in the well-known story.   Diane Lane, Russell Crowe, Amy Adams, Kevin Costner, Laurence Fishburne and Christopher Meloni all get in on the action this time.

The teaser trailer only told us the story through Jor-El (Crowe) and Jonathan Kent (Kevin Costner).  In the new longer trailer, Superman, himself, tells the story in this rather dark look at the man of steel. He may be impenetrable but he's a hot mess in the emotional department.   AND society in the MAN OF STEEL isn't accepting of the superhero as Superman is taking into custody by the military.  Clark Kent says so in the trailer as well.   But we're sure Metropolis will change their tune when the real threat stops by for a visit.  

While its thumbs way up for the new MAN OF STEEL movie trailer, the overbearing music is a bit much with its melancholic feel.  We know its a dark tale, but the score comes off as a bit overdramatic.  

Director Zack Snyder's reboot certainly has us excited, but we've got half a year until MAN OF STEEL opens June 14, 2013.  Now that's a buzz kill.
