SCREAM movie star Melissa Barrera is no stranger to being soaked in fake blood but for her latest horror comedy, ABIGAIL, the Mexican actress was drenched from head to toe. Barrera reveals how she cleaned up after those bloody shoot days. The actor also praises Alisha Weir for her performance as a blood-sucking villain.
Barrera works with directors Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett behind the terrifying modern horror hits READY OR NOT, 2022’s SCREAM and last year’s SCREAM VI, for a third time. The actor reveals what she likes about the filmmakers.
Barrera stars alongside Dan Stevens (GASLIT, Legion), Kathryn Newton (ANT-MAN AND THE WASP: QUANTUMANIA, FREAKY), William Catlett (Black Lightning, True Story), Kevin Durand (RESIDENT EVIL: RETRIBUTION, X-MEN ORIGINS: WOLVERINE) and Angus Cloud (Euphoria, North Hollywood) as the kidnappers and Alisha Weir (ROALD DAHL’S MATILDA THE MUSICAL, DARKLANDS) as Abigail.
