Whereas THE WALKING DEAD plunged us right into the zombie apocalypse, FEAR THE WALKING DEAD show depicts the fall of civilization through the eyes of a dysfunctional family in Los Angeles. CineMovie previewed the first two episodes of the new AMC show, and luckily THE WALKING DEAD spinoff isn’t a direct copy cat of the current hit show, but a fresh take on the subject matter.

It’s hard to imagine Jesse Eisenberg as an action hero, but he pulls it off as a stoner turned cold-blooded killer in AMERICAN ULTRA. Surprisingly, Kristen Stewart also proves a formidable action heroine alongside Jessie and "Nashville’s" Connie Britton who equally brings on the whoop ass.

Fans of the first installment in the SINISTER series may enjoy some aspects of this sequel. But while the driving force of the first film was in how it embraced and elevated its potboiler murder-mystery, the second film suffers from a lighter narrative thrust -- relying too heavily on the more supernatural elements of the story.

Scarlett Johannson came in second earning $35.5 million. A second trailer to Ridley Scott’s THE MARTIAN has been released. The new trailer launch comes a day after Matt Damon visits NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, California. During that visit Matt Damon’s visit to JPL he was surprised with a phone call from Astronauts Scott Kelly and Kjell Lindgren who are currently onboard the ISS (photo attached). Earlier that day Matt and NASA scientists and engineers who served as technical consultants on the film participate in a Q&A session. Watch both videos below.

Tim Roth, Demian Bichir, Michael Madsen, Bruce Dern and Walton Goggins are featured in new character posters for Quentin Tarantino's THE HATEFUL EIGHT while Kurt Russell shares the limelight with Jennifer Jason Leigh on their own one-sheet for the Western. Weinstein has yet to reveal Samuel L. Jackson's character one-sheeet, and we haven't seen any footage of Channing Tatum as part of the hateful eight, so we can expect those sometime soon. At the D23 Expo, Disney gave fans a quick look at Emma Watson as Belle and her yellow ballgown in the live action version of BEAUTY AND THE BEAST during a sizzle reel of their upcoming films. Emma Watson made an appearance via a message from the London set in which she tells the audience of her dream come true in playing the famous Disney princess. Besides her message, President of Walt Disney Studios Motion Picture Production, Sean Bailey confirmed the cast and that the new fairytale is definitely a musical.

At D23 this past weekend, Ellen Degeneres, Ty Burrell, Ed O’Neill and Kaitlin Olson (It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia) joined the filmmakers behind FINDING DORY on stage at Dsiney’s D23 animation panel. Filming gets underway today on J.K. Rowling’s script for FANTASTIC BEASTS AND WHERE TO FIND THEM. Set in the same wizarding world of Harry Potter, Harry Potter director David Yates takes the helm as production begins in England. Warner Bros. announced the news via a press release for the movie which is scheduled for release on November 18, 2016.

In short, THE MAN FROM U.N.C.L.E. is entertaining solely because of Henry Cavill, Armie Hammer and Alicia Vikander's chemistry, but as far as the story goes it's your typical get the nuclear warhead from the bad guys-type of plot. However, the Man of Steel was a delight to see in a comedy looking quit dapper and debonair, and the 60s fashion was in itself a scene stealer.

Disney honored eight individuals at the D23 Expo at the Anaheim Convention Center for the Disney Legends Awards Ceremony Friday morning. George Lucas, composer Danny Elfman, Susan Lucci and others involved with Disney through the years, but a last minute addition surprised audiences at the panel. Johnny Depp was a last minute honoree, and he too was surprised at being named a "legend." Watch video from the Disney panel.
