Movie Reviews & Clip: Russell Brand Forced to Propose to Jennifer Garner in 'Arthur'

Russell Brand stars as Arthur, the loveable alchohic originally played by Dudley Moore in the 1981 film by the same name.  Jennifer Garner is the seductress after Arthur's family name.

In this fresh new look at a classic story, Russell Brand reinvents the role of loveable billionaire Arthur Bach, an irresponsible charmer who has always relied on two things to get by: his limitless fortune and the good sense of his lifelong nanny and best friend Hobson (Helen Mirren), to keep him out of trouble.

Movie Clip: Russell Brand & Luis Guzman Are Batman & Robin In ARTHUR

To keep his fortune, Arthur is forced to propose to Susan played by Jennifer Garner.  In this scene from ARTHUR, Susan and Arthur dine in a posh restaurant where Arthur is suppose to propose but Arthur keeps backing down.  Susan won't settle for anything less than a engagement ring on her finger.

Kind-hearted, fun-loving, and utterly without purpose, Arthur spends every day in the heedless pursuit of amusement. But when his unpredictable public image threatens the staid reputation of the family foundation, Bach Worldwide, he is given an ultimatum: marry the beautiful but decidedly unlovable Susan Johnson, an ambitious corporate exec who can keep him in line, or say goodbye to his billion-dollar inheritance and the only way of life he knows.

ARTHUR is in movie theaters April 8, 2011.

Movie Clip: Boy Googles Girl in Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Rodrick Rules

In DIARY OF A WIMPY KID: RODRICK RULES, a sequel to 2010’s surprise hit, Greg Heffley, the kid who made “wimpy” cool, is back in an all-new family comedy based on the best-selling follow-up novel by Jeff Kinney.

As he begins seventh grade, Greg and his older brother – and chief tormentor – Rodrick must deal with their parents’ misguided attempts to have them bond.

In this clip from DIARY OF A WIMPY KID: RODRICK RULES, a new girl has the boys captivated and one of the friends fills them in on all her information that he googled.  Watch!

From its origins as a series of online cartoons, Diary of a Wimpy Kid exploded onto the pop culture scene when Jeff Kinney’s first “novel in cartoons” was published in 2007. Diary of a Wimpy Kid spent almost three years on The New York Times’ children’s best-seller list, and sold millions of copies around the world. The book captured the imaginations of an army of formerly “reluctant readers,” and launched countless video reviews, social networking fan groups, and parties celebrating the release of each new Wimpy Kid book. While Kinney had originally targeted adults through the book’s nostalgic look at middle school life as told through a narrator with Walter Mittyesque fantasies of greatness, kids immediately connected to his blending of the subversive and edgy with the fun and wholesome.

Movie Trailer: Captain America: The First Avenger

Chris Evans in Captain American: The First Avenger

Everyone was wondering how Chris Evans would pull of his pre-Captain America skinny runt look and the first trailer for CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE FIRST AVENGER takes care of the doubters.

CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE FIRST AVENGER trailer previews Steve Rogers (Evans) transforming into Captain America.  The CGI does an outstanding job turning Chris Evans into a short, frail boy and, of course, Chris Evans' body as Captain America is equally impressive.  Did he have help with enhanced CGI muscles or is it all him?  We hope so.

Take a look at the trailer for more revelations about the Marvel comic super hero.

Movie Clip: Johnny Depp En Español

Ever wonder what Johnny Depp sounds like in Spanish?

Johnny Depp at the Rango movie premiereJohnny Depp's RANGO topped the box office at #1 in America opening weekend.  Internationlly the animated western about a pet chameleon who becomes the sheriff of a town called Dirt, also shot to the top at the movies with audiences flocking to see Johnny Depp's performance... well sort of.

International audiences may be watching RANGO dubbed in their native language which means Johnny's voice has been dubbed over by a local voice over actor.  The movie posters for the films may bill the actor (ie. Johnny Depp) as the star but in reality, only their performance is present. The foreign actor impersonates the voice and attempts to capture the essence of the actor's performance.

Watch a clip from RANGO in Spanish with actor Ricardo Tejedo voicing Rango.  The Mexican actor has been Johnny Depp's Spanish voice over for movies such as Pirates of the Caribbean and Alice in Wonderland since 1993's What's Eating Gilbert Grape?.

Do you think he captures the spirit of Johnny Depp's Rango? Post your comments below.
