Ever wonder what Johnny Depp sounds like in Spanish?

Johnny Depp at the Rango movie premiereJohnny Depp's RANGO topped the box office at #1 in America opening weekend.  Internationlly the animated western about a pet chameleon who becomes the sheriff of a town called Dirt, also shot to the top at the movies with audiences flocking to see Johnny Depp's performance... well sort of.

International audiences may be watching RANGO dubbed in their native language which means Johnny's voice has been dubbed over by a local voice over actor.  The movie posters for the films may bill the actor (ie. Johnny Depp) as the star but in reality, only their performance is present. The foreign actor impersonates the voice and attempts to capture the essence of the actor's performance.

Watch a clip from RANGO in Spanish with actor Ricardo Tejedo voicing Rango.  The Mexican actor has been Johnny Depp's Spanish voice over for movies such as Pirates of the Caribbean and Alice in Wonderland since 1993's What's Eating Gilbert Grape?.

Do you think he captures the spirit of Johnny Depp's Rango? Post your comments below.

Cameron Diaz, Jason Segal, Justin Timberlake in BAD TEACHER

Cameron Diaz is a teacher who doesn't give an F in BAD TEACHER. And she lets loose the F-bombs as a foul-mouthed teacher in the red band trailer for BAD TEACHER while the green trailer strips the profanity for a cleaner version. Watch both trailers.

Elizabeth (Diaz), a high-school teacher, is a potty-mouth, ruthless and inappropriate menace. Justin Timberlake and Jason Segel both star as love interests. Hollywood sweet-heart Cameron Diaz takes on a role unlike anything we have seen her in which is refreshing. In BAD TEACHER, she drinks, she gets high, and she can't wait to marry her meal ticket out of teaching snotty kids.

On April 1st, Universal Pictures will proudly present HOP, which blends state-of-the-art animation with live action to tell the comic tale of Fred (James Marsden), an out-of-work slacker who accidentally injures the Easter Bunny (voiced by Russell Brand) and must take him in as he recovers. Firm, tough, and far too large to be a chick, Carlos is all business.  Frustrated by the sovereignty of the Easter Bunny and his team of rabbits, Carlos has been serving as the Easter Bunny’s No. 2 for years.  But Carlos is sick of being No. 2.  It’s time for the chicks to rise…  He has been plotting a coup d’état with his fellow chick workers—he wants to replace candy with birdseed and lettuce cups.  After all, Easter is all about eggs, so why shouldn’t chickens be in charge?  This year, with the disappearance of E.B., Carlos finally has his chance.  Phil (left on the picture) has been known to follow Carlos around like an eager puppy dog.

The film is helmed by Tim Hill, director of the blockbuster Alvin & the Chipmunks and produced by Chris Meledandri’s Illumination Entertainment (Despicable Me).
