Add a commentMichael B. Jordan’s directorial debut in CREED III is a solid premiere for the actor-turned-filmmaker. The beats are on point and the ROCKY spin-off is structurally a tight movie.

ANT-MAN AND THE WASP: QUANTUMANIA is the busiest movie of this Marvel trilogy with tons of distracting CGI environments. The sequel is one part STAR WARS and the other part GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY due to the heavy CGI work. Thankfully Paul Rudd carries the movie as the heart of the story but Michelle Pfeiffer and Jonathan Majors steal the show.
Add a commentChanning Tatum's sexy dance skills are the main attraction in Steven Soderbergh’s MAGIC MIKE movies, and MAGIC MIKE’S LAST DANCE is no exception. While the storyline teases a big finale, the climax just never came. However, his on-screen chemistry with Salma Hayek is off the charts.
Add a commentAntonio Banderas returns as Puss, the Leche-loving swashbuckler along with Salma Hayek’s Kitty Softpaws in a sequel that far surpasses the original in every way.

It’s no surprise James Cameron delivers a visually stunning film in AVATAR: THE WAY OF WATER. As indicated in the title, most of the action takes place in Pandora’s oceans with Jake and Neytiri’s offspring taking center stage in the second outing.
Add a commentVIOLENT NIGHT is a bloody good time enjoyed most in a collective space. David Harbour is a killing machine as the very endearing and not-so-jolly Kris Kringle. It’s a must-watch for a silly and gory escape.

The hokey trailer for THE GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY HOLIDAY SPECIAL left much to be desired but luckily the Disney+ Marvel special is surprisingly fun although James Gunn takes some swipes at the Christmas tradition. Pom Klementieff’s Mantis is the breakout star here.
Add a commentChadwick Boseman is smiling down at Ryan Coogler and his cast mates for delivering a heartfelt and action-packed follow-up in BLACK PANTHER: WAKANDA FOREVER. The sequel honors Chadwick Boseman and respectfully hands down the baton to the next in line. It’s a thoughtful script, and like the first movie, Coogler interweaves superheroism with social commentary.
Add a commentDon’t let the PG-13 rating fool you, PREY FOR THE DEVIL is one freaky good time that will have you holding on to your theater partner. With no shortage of exorcism movies, director Daniel Stamm brings a fresh take on exorcism movies for the first two-thirds of the movie until the final sequence treads familiar territory.

Dwayne Johnson enters the DCEU with a bang. BLACK ADAM is relentlessly action-packed with Johnson bringing his A-Game as the anti-hero. However, the stakes are just not that compelling, and the introduction of the Justice Society of America (JSA) is disappointing. The Warner Bros. film delivers the action but fails as a superhero film.
Add a commentHALLOWEEN ENDS wraps Jamie Lee Curtis' Laurie Strode storyline but that doesn't mean the end of Michael Myers in a reincarnated form. While his latest entry ends the franchise for now, most fans didn't find it satisfying. It wasn't the worst out of the trilogy so here's our ranking of the last three films.

Marvel pays homage to classic monster movies with WEREWOLF BY NIGHT starring Gael Garcia Bernal, and is unlike anything Marvel has done. The black-and-white cinematography is truly macabre with true blacks that harken back to the classics.

Sinéad O'Connor burst onto the music scene in the late 80s with her soulful voice but her controversial comments and shredding of Pope John Paul II's picture on live television forced her out of the limelight. In NOTHING COMPARES, director Kathryn Ferguson (TAKING THE WATERS, SPACE TO BE) presents a different side to the Irish singer/songwriter, framing her as a trailblazer and perhaps the first spokesperson for the MeToo movement.
Add a commentMexico’s beloved actress Veronica Castro hits the big screen in CUANDO SEA JOVEN along with Natasha Dupeyron (Casa de Flores) playing her 22-year-old self. The comedy is a wholesome good time for the entire family, especially for your abuelitas. The swapping lives plot has been done to death but this one brings a few surprises and lots of charm.
Add a commentThe Star Wars movies and series under Disney have largely played to fan service but Andor creates a whole new world outside of the existing Star Wars universe that feels fresh and cinematic. Disney+ 12-episode series takes its time setting up this new world and the characters that will play a part in the early days of the Rebellion but it’s worth it.

Lightning McQueen and Mater team up for Disney+’s CARS spin-off series in Cars on the Road. Owen Wilson and Larry the Cable Guy return to voice the animated vehicles in an all-new adventure in nine short but sweet episodes that remind us why we love these Pixar characters so much.
Add a commentThe live-action adaptation of Disney's PINOCCHIO starring Tom Hanks as Geppetto and a CGI wooden boy is a shot-by-shot recreation of the 1940's Disney classic in a more visually-stunning format with many Easter Eggs for Disney fans. Aside from the cinematic upgrade and addition of a diverse cast, Disney+'s PINOCCHIO doesn't offer much in terms of novelty.
